Department 01 - Of the Theory of Magnetic Phenomena and Condensed Matter Magnetic Dynamics

Department of the Theory of Magnetic Phenomena and Condensed Matter Magnetic Dynamics (01) was created in May 2016 on the basis of the Department of Theoretical Physics and Department of Condensed Matter Magnetic Dynamics. The department includes the Laboratory of Magnetic Materials which is headed by the corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine B.O. Ivanov.

Direction of the investigations:

• Magnetic dynamics of nanostructures (magnetic nanoelements and their ensembles, self-organized magnetic structures, spin-wave generation and spin transfer, etc.)
• Thermodynamic and magnetic properties of functional materials with magnetostructural phase transformations
• Development of new mathematical methods for analyzing kinetics, thermodynamics and nonlinear dynamics of multiparticle systems and nanostructures.

Pedagogical activity:

Students and teachers of National Technical University of Ukraine "KPI", Taras Shevchenko Kiev National University and National Aviation University have scientific training and advanced training courses on the basis of the department.
During 2018 6 master's theses were successfully defended.
